Getting Started with LaxLab

Everything you need to set up your recruiting profile and start reaching out to college coaches.

1 Create a Google Account (if you don't have one)

LaxLab uses Google Sign-In to connect your Gmail (for sending coach emails) and YouTube (for highlight videos) in one step. If you already have a Google/Gmail account, skip to Step 2.

Tip: We recommend creating a recruiting-only email like firstname.lastname.lax@gmail.com — it keeps your recruiting outreach separate and looks professional to coaches.

2 Set Up a YouTube Channel

To upload highlight videos that embed directly in your profile, you need a YouTube channel linked to your Google account. It takes about 30 seconds.

Tip: Name your channel something simple like "Connor Dawson Lacrosse Highlights." Coaches will see this name when they watch your film. You can set videos to "Unlisted" if you prefer they're only accessible via your profile link.

3 Find & Claim Your Profile

Go to laxlab.app and search for your name. If you're in a registered league, your stats are already there from public box scores. Click your name, then hit "Claim Profile" and sign in with Google.

Don't see your name? You can create a custom profile from scratch after signing in.

What claiming does: It links the profile to your Google account so only you can edit it. Your profile stays public — anyone with the link can view it.

4 Build Your Profile

Once claimed, head to your Dashboard to add and edit:

Bio — a short intro about yourself (our AI can draft one for you)
Academics — GPA, SAT/ACT, high school, graduation year
Highlight Videos — upload directly from your YouTube channel
Photos — action shots and headshots
Recruiting Status — let coaches know if you're actively looking
Stats — verify and update your game stats

Pro tip: A complete profile with video, GPA, and a bio gets significantly more coach engagement than a stats-only profile. Take 10 minutes to fill everything out.

5 Start Emailing Coaches (Pro)
